Stop Motion Videos
1. Take a picture of your figure in the first position.
2. Then, move the figure a little bit, and take the next picture.
3. Move it again, and take another picture.
4. Make sure you don't move the camera AT ANY TIME
5. Only make SUBTLE MOVEMENTS to your scene and figures each time.
6. Carry on moving the figure, taking a picture every time you do.
TIP: if you want a certain point in your animation longer, just take lots of pictures of the same moment! If the scene moves a bit, DON'T WORRY, this will give the animation a bit of character and quirkiness!
You can change the scenes, add more characters, and once you get the hang of it, you'll be having fun, and be great at it!
The only thing you need is PATIENCE. Stop-motion can require hundreds, if not thousands of pictures.
- it takes about 10 photos for every 1 second of video; 10 second video requires --> 100 photos
- keep the camera in the same place as you snap photos
- When making object or people based stop motion videos, move the objects only slightly
- The free Stop Motion app is a good one to start using
